Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 2032.003
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Subject to the licensing requirements and other provisions of this subtitle, a nonprofit corporation may conduct a race meeting, not to exceed 16 racing days, for the purpose of encouraging agriculture through the operation of public fairs and livestock exhibitions.
