The Department of State Health Services shall ensure that a licensed physician involved in direct patient care as defined by the Texas Medical Board is included on a survey team sent under Title XVIII of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. § 1395 et seq.) when surveying the quality of services provided by physicians in hospitals.
