Terms Used In Alabama Code 13A-11-184
- person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
- preceding: means next before. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
- residing: as used in this article , shall mean any person who remains within any county in the state for a period of more than 24 hours and maintains or uses sleeping quarters anywhere within the county. See Alabama Code 13A-11-180
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
The provisions of this article shall not apply to any person residing in any county in the state on September 12, 1966, who has not been convicted of or served time for a felony within the five years next preceding such date.
