A violation of article 3 of this chapter that is detected by a photo enforcement system may only result in a traffic ticket and complaint if the traffic control device involved in the violation conforms to the manual and specifications prescribed in section 28-641.

Terms Used In Arizona Laws 28-1205

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Photo enforcement system: means a device substantially consisting of a radar unit or sensor linked to a camera or other recording device that produces one or more photographs, microphotographs, videotapes or digital or other recorded images of a vehicle's license plate for the purpose of identifying violators of articles 3 and 6 of this chapter.   • Traffic: means pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles and other conveyances either singly or together while using a highway for purposes of travel. See Arizona Laws 28-601
