The board may grant or refuse to grant an optometrist license as provided in this chapter and may revoke or suspend the license of any optometrist for any of the causes specified in this chapter.
It shall have the power to administer oaths and to take testimony in the exercise of these functions.
Terms Used In California Business and Professions Code 3024
- board: means the California State Board of Optometry. See California Business and Professions Code 3004
- license: means license, certificate, registration, or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code or referred to in Section 1000 or 3600. See California Business and Professions Code 23.7
- optometrist: means a person who is licensed to practice optometry in this state under the authority of this chapter. See California Business and Professions Code 3003
- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
