Any election in an action referred to in Section 35520 shall be called and conducted by each county superintendent in the districts which are under his or her jurisdiction and in which the election is to be held. The designation of the date and hours of the election, the form and content of the ballot, and the declaration of the result of the election shall be by joint action of the county superintendents having jurisdiction over the districts who call and conduct the election.
