On or before July 1, 2008, the department, in consultation with the Office of Public School Construction, shall conduct a survey to determine whether the school districts operating Concept 6 programs will phase out the program by the 2009-10 fiscal year and shall submit a copy of the results of the survey to the Assembly Committee on Education, the Senate Committee on Education, and the Department of Finance. Based on the survey, the Legislature shall determine whether to repeal the authority to operate a Concept 6 program prior to July 1, 2012.
