Terms Used In Indiana Code 20-26-3-2

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
     (b) Any doubt as to the existence of a power of a school corporation must be resolved in favor of the existence of the power. This rule applies when a statute granting the power has been repealed.
