- principal: includes a principal's designee. See Indiana Code 20-33-8-1
- suspension: means any disciplinary action that does not constitute an expulsion under section 3 of this chapter, whereby a student is separated from school attendance for a period of not more than ten (10) school days. See Indiana Code 20-33-8-7
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
Sec. 33. Before February 1 and before October 1 of each year, except when a hearing has been requested to determine financial hardship under IC 9-24-2-1(a)(4), a principal may submit to the bureau of motor vehicles the pertinent information concerning an individual’s ineligibility under IC 9-24-2-1 to be issued a driver’s license or learner’s permit, or concerning the suspension of driving privileges under IC 9-24-2-4.
