Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-4612

  • Board: means a hospital board which is selected in accordance with the provisions of this act and which is vested with the management and control of a county hospital;

    (b) "commission" means the board of county commissioners of any county;

    (c) "hospital" means a medical care facility as defined in Kan. See Kansas Statutes 19-4601

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

Notwithstanding any contract entered into by the commission or the board for the management and control of the hospital with any person, corporation, association or society, the commission or, in case of an elected board, the board may make such tax levies for the benefit of the hospital as are authorized by law.
