Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-1268
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Secretary: means the secretary of administration. See Kansas Statutes 75-1226
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
Whenever architectural, engineering or land surveying services are required by a state agency for any purpose, other than for a specific project for the construction of a building or for major repairs or improvements to a building, the secretary of administration or the state agency may negotiate and enter into a contract with a qualified architect, engineer or land surveyor for the required services. Such contracts shall not be subject to the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-3739, and amendments thereto, or to the provisions of the acts contained in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-1250 to 75-1268, and amendments thereto.
