   Sale of seats in places of public entertainment—It shall not be lawful for the proprietor, lessee or manager of any theatre, concert or lecture hall, or other place of public entertainment, to mark, or cause to be marked, any seat or seats in any theatre, concert or lecture hall, or other place of public entertainment, as sold, reserved or taken, unless the seat or seats so marked or designated shall have been actually sold or reserved, at least 1 hour prior to the time of beginning each performance, or entertainment in said theatre, concert or lecture hall, or place of public entertainment, and the purchase of reserved seats for the purpose of selling them is hereby prohibited. Any proprietor, lessee or manager, or other person who shall violate the provisions of this section, shall on conviction thereof, be fined not less than 1 dollar, and not more than 5 dollars, for every seat so marked, designated or purchased.
