  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Heretofore: means any time previous to the day when the statute containing it takes effect. See Missouri Laws 1.020

No teacher shall take part in the management of the campaign for the election or defeat of members of a board of education by which he is employed. Any teacher who violates the provisions of this section shall be subject to termination of his employment by the district with the right of a hearing and appeal as heretofore provided.
