Terms Used In Missouri Laws 186.065
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
The general assembly may appropriate funds for grants to the Missouri humanities council. State funds received pursuant to sections 186.050 to 186.067 shall be used for public humanities programming. State funds shall be distributed to the Missouri humanities council after receipt of the council’s annual report of expenses for the prior fiscal year.
