Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 356:6

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Person: shall include , where applicable, natural persons, trusts, government entities, corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships, proprietorships, incorporated or unincorporated associations, and any other legal entity. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 356:1
  • Testify: Answer questions in court.
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
No person called as a witness to testify at any proceedings under this chapter shall be excused from testifying, or from producing any books, papers or documents which are material, on the ground that his testimony will tend to incriminate him; but no person shall be prosecuted or subjected to any penalty or forfeiture for or on account of any transaction, matter or thing concerning which he may testify or produce evidence, documentary or otherwise, in any such proceeding.
