Tennessee Code 39-14-804 – Penalties

(a) A person found to be in violation of any of the offenses defined in § 39-14-803(a) and (b) commits a Class C felony.

Under the Tennessee Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

Class	Prison	Fine
class C felony	3 to 15 years	up to $10,000
class B misdemeanor	up to 6 months	up to $500

Person: means any individual, corporation, association, nonprofit corporation, joint-stock company, firm, trust, partnership, two (2) or more persons having a joint or common interest, or other legal entity. See Tennessee Code 39-14-802

(b) Any person violating § 39-14-803(c) commits a Class B misdemeanor.
