- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
After the hearing on the suspension of a racetrack license, the executive director shall affirm, modify, or set aside, wholly or partly, the summary suspension order. An order affirming or modifying the summary suspension order is final for purposes of enforcement and appeal.
