Terms Used In Utah Code 17D-3-104

  • Conservation district: means a limited purpose local government entity, as described in Section 17D-3-103, that operates under, is subject to, and has the powers set forth in this chapter. See Utah Code 17D-3-102
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Land: includes :Utah Code 68-3-12.5
     The district court in which a conservation district is located has jurisdiction to decide all cases and controversies involving the construction, application, or enforcement of land use ordinances within the conservation district.
