53-2a-1501.  Definitions.
     As used in this part:

(1)  “Committee” means the Grid Resilience Committee created in Section 53-2a-1503.

Terms Used In Utah Code 53-2a-1501

  • Committee: means the Grid Resilience Committee created in Section 53-2a-1503. See Utah Code 53-2a-1501
  • Division: means the Utah Division of Emergency Management created in Section 53-21-103. See Utah Code 53-2a-1501
  • Grid resilience: means efforts to provide greater resilience to the state's infrastructure with respect to:
(a) weather events;
(b) wildfire;
(c) acts of terrorism; or
(d) other potentially damaging events. See Utah Code 53-2a-1501
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
  • Terrorism: means activities or the threat of activities that:
    (a) involve acts dangerous to human life;
    (b) are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of this state; and
    (c) to a reasonable person, would appear to be intended to:
    (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
    (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or
    (iii) affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping. See Utah Code 53-2a-102
    (2)  “Division” means the Utah Division of Emergency Management created in Section 53-21-103.

    (3)  “Grid resilience” means efforts to provide greater resilience to the state‘s infrastructure with respect to:

    (a)  weather events;

    (b)  wildfire;

    (c)  acts of terrorism; or

    (d)  other potentially damaging events.
