(1) |
As used in this chapter, “state institution of higher education” means an institution described in Section 53B-2-101 or any other university or college that is established and maintained by the state. |

- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- state institution of higher education: means an institution described in Section 53B-2-101 or any other university or college that is established and maintained by the state. See Utah Code 53B-3-102

A state institution of higher education includes:
(a) |
a branch or affiliated institution; or |
(b) |
a campus or facilities owned, operated, or controlled by the governing board of the state institution of higher education. |
