Terms Used In Utah Code 76-10-2301- Act: means a voluntary bodily movement and includes speech. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
- Actor: means a person whose criminal responsibility is in issue in a criminal action. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
- Conduct: means an act or omission. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
- Offense: means a violation of any penal statute of this state. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
- Person: means an individual, public or private corporation, government, partnership, or unincorporated association. See Utah Code 76-1-101.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
| (a) |
“Adult” means a person 18 years of age or older. |
| (b) |
“Minor” means a person younger than 18 years of age. |

| (2) |
Any adult who commits any act or engages in any conduct which he knows or should know would have the effect of causing or encouraging a minor to commit an act which would be a misdemeanor or infraction criminal violation of any federal or state statute or any county or municipal ordinance if committed by an adult is guilty of a class B misdemeanor. |
| (3) |
A violation of Subsection (2) does not require that the minor be found to be delinquent or to have committed a delinquent act. |
| (4) |
An offense committed under Subsection (2) is in addition to any completed or inchoate offense which the actor may have committed personally or as a party. |
