Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 351.10

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

An appeal to the court of appeals may be taken from any final action or order of a court entered under this chapter in the same manner and form as an appeal in a criminal case.
