1. As used in this section:
a. “Gender identity” means the same as defined in section 216.2.
b. “Sexual orientation” means the same as defined in section 216.2.
Terms Used In Iowa Code 279.80
- School: means an agency of the state or political subdivision of the state, individual, partnership, company, firm, society, trust, association, corporation, or any combination which meets any of the following criteria:a. See Iowa Code 261B.22. A school district shall not provide any program, curriculum, test, survey, questionnaire, promotion, or instruction relating to gender identity or sexual orientation to students in kindergarten through grade six.
