As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
 1. “Board” means the board of supervisors of a county.

  • Board: means the board of supervisors of a county. See Iowa Code 357I.1
  • District: means a benefited secondary road services district. See Iowa Code 357I.1
  • Officer: means a natural person elected or appointed to a fixed term and exercising some portion of the power of a city. See Iowa Code 362.2
  • road: include public bridges, and may be held equivalent to the words "county way" "county road" "common road" and "state road". See Iowa Code 4.1
 2. “Book”, “list”, “record”, or “schedule” kept by a county auditor, assessor, treasurer, recorder, sheriff, or other county officer means the county system as defined in section 445.1.
 3. “District” means a benefited secondary road services district.
 4. “Trustee” means a trustee of a district.
