Unless otherwise provided by local ordinance, every vehicle stopped or parked upon a oneway roadway shall be so stopped or parked parallel to the curb or edge of the roadway, in the direction of authorized traffic movement, with its righthand wheels within twelve inches of the righthand curb or edge of the roadway, or its lefthand wheels within twelve inches of the lefthand curb or edge of the roadway. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
