Terms Used In Utah Code 78B-2-112

  • action: as used in this chapter includes counterclaims and cross-complaints and all other civil actions in which affirmative relief is sought. See Utah Code 78B-2-101
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • Statute of limitations: A law that sets the time within which parties must take action to enforce their rights.
     The duration of an injunction or statutory prohibition which delays the filing of an action may not be counted as part of the statute of limitations.
