A local agency and a state agency may enter into an agreement to coordinate the priority or allocation of state funds to the local agency for state construction projects in order to implement the financial component of the plan.

Terms Used In California Government Code 53987

  • Local agency: means a city, county, city and county, special district, school district, community college district, county superintendent of schools, or any other agency of the state formed for the local performance of governmental or proprietary functions within limited boundaries.   • Plan: means a plan which specifies the new public facilities to serve residential, commercial, and industrial developments within a defined area and the financing and construction schedule of new public facilities. See California Government Code 53983
  • State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
  • State agency: means any office, department, commission, or agency of the State of California with authority to approve or recommend approval of the priority of allocation, or allocations, of state funds to local agencies or to approve or recommend approval of the priority or allocation of funds for state construction. See California Government Code 53983
