  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
Every foreign corporation, as well as every foreign association, exercising any of the powers, franchises or functions of a corporation in this state, violating any of the provisions of this chapter, is denied the right and prohibited from doing any business in this state, and the Department of Legal Affairs shall enforce this provision by bringing proper proceedings by injunction, or otherwise. The Department of State may revoke the license of any such corporation or association authorized by it to do business in this state.
