42-10-104. Power and duties of department. (1) The department shall establish, administer, and regulate a continuing program of subsidized adoption.
Terms Used In Montana Code 42-10-104
- Adoption: means the act of creating the legal relationship between parent and child when it does not exist genetically. See Montana Code 42-1-103
- Department: means the department of public health and human services provided for in 2-15-2201. See Montana Code 42-10-103
- Records: means all documents, exhibits, and data pertaining to an adoption. See Montana Code 42-1-103
(2)The department shall keep such records as are necessary to evaluate the program in terms of the number of children adopted under the program, the cost of the program, and any other pertinent information.
(3)The department may adopt rules necessary for the proper administration of this part.
