Each school district shall include only students identified and verified pursuant to sections 79-1137 and 79-1138 in special education programs and shall not provide special education services pursuant to the Special Education Act to any child who has not been so identified and verified.

Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 79-1139
- School: means a school under the jurisdiction of a school board authorized by Chapter 79. See Nebraska Statutes 79-101
- Special education: means specially designed instruction, at no cost to parents or guardians, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability, including classroom instruction, instruction in physical education, home instruction, and instruction in hospitals and institutions.
