Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 2022.104
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Rule: includes regulation. See Texas Government Code 311.005
The commission may share with another regulatory agency of this state any investigatory file information that creates a reasonable suspicion of a person‘s violation of a law or rule under that agency’s jurisdiction. The agency may use the information as if it was obtained through that agency’s investigatory process.
