Massachusetts Extends Deadline for Compliance with Data Encryption Regulations

The Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation has pushed back the deadline for businesses to comply with new regulations regarding encryption of consumer personal information from January 1 to May 1, 2009.  The change was made in order to give businesses that may be struggling financially more time to make the necessary changes.  For more details click here.
