Terms Used In Iowa Code 600.2
- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
600.2 Definitions.
1. “”Adoption service provider””, “”adult””, “”agency””, “”biological parent””, “”certified adoption investigator””, “”child””, “”court””, “”custodian””, “”department””, “”guardian””, “”guardian ad litem””, “”juvenile court””, “”minor””, “”parent””, “”parent-child relationship””, “”stepparent””, and “”termination of parental rights”” mean the same as defined in § 600A.2.
2. “”Investigator”” means a natural person who is certified or approved by the department, after inspection by the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing, as being capable of conducting an investigation under § 600.8.
