PATRICIA YOUNG: ...
MY husbands chldren are over 18, they did not send the letter of notice to use that they were attending a secondary school, there fore we do not know if they are in school. Family support set up a hearing for him, then they denied the hearing postponement becasue our attorney could not be present. Family support says we have to be present with out council. is this legal?

Steven Daily: ...
Unfortunately, the agency is under no obligation to reschedule a hearing to suit your husband's attorney's schedule. From a legal standpoint, your husband has been given the right to be represented, and he could, at least theoretically, bring a different attorney. Let the attorney know about the situation and perhaps he or she can arrange for a colleague to be represent and represent your husband. Or they may still be time for you to find another attorney.
