Nothing in ORS § 164.170 or 164.172 or the amendments to ORS § 166.715 by section 4, chapter 878, Oregon Laws 1999, is intended to allow the prosecution of a corporation, business, partnership, limited liability company, limited liability partnership or any similar entity, or an employee or agent of such an entity, that makes a good faith effort to comply with federal and state laws governing the entity. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 164.174

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
