- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A person who wants to have the person’s name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file with the board secretary a petition requesting that action. The petition must be filed by the deadline imposed by Section 144.005, Election Code.
