A local agency may acquire and hold land within its boundaries for:
(a) Developing and encouraging agricultural, horticultural, or botanical products.
Terms Used In California Government Code 50331
- Local agency: as used in this division means county, city, or city and county, unless the context otherwise requires. See California Government Code 50001
(b) Exhibiting such products.
(c) Erecting, rebuilding, or furnishing historical museums and art galleries.
Such land may be acquired by purchase or otherwise, or may be leased for a term not to exceed fifty years.
