Any duly authorized officer, employee, or agent of the department or the California Department of Aging may, upon presentation of proper identification, enter and inspect any place providing adult day health care at any time, with or without advance notice, to secure compliance with, or to prevent a violation of, any provision of this chapter or any regulation adopted hereunder.

  • Adult day health care: means an organized day program of therapeutic, social, and skilled nursing health activities and services provided pursuant to this chapter to elderly persons or adults with disabilities with functional impairments, either physical or mental, for the purpose of restoring or maintaining optimal capacity for self-care.
